About the event
"Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few". The words of the great Winston Churchill ring loudly during the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain. In the dark days of the Second World War, British, Commonwealth and allied pilots took to the skies against the fearsome Luftwaffe. At this special commemorative dinner we pay tribute to those brave pilots and support crews who sacrificed so much against Nazi aggression. South Australian veterans of the battle in particular will be honoured at the event, and we can expect to explore lessons from the battle that can be applied to modern conflict.
