About the event
The eagerly anticipated ‘Roger of the Raj’ returns. The title is based on a Michael Palin ‘Ripping Yarns’ parody of the British Raj in India. It has been a vehicle for the revival of the traditional Club ‘Curry Tiffin’, which was historically a luncheon that featured in Commonwealth Services Messes for generations.
We took Tiffin to dinner and dressed it up. The result is a celebration of Indian cuisine, history and culture. The food will be memorable and the evening will be informative entertaining and fun. Previous efforts have covered off on history, language fusion, culture and even the phenomena of the Mumbai ‘Dabba Wallahs’ who put Uber Eats in the shade.
On the night, the Guest Speaker and Club Member Ms Priyanka Chopra will speak to us about Modern Indian Multinationalism. Over the last couple of years this event has been widely popular, so we encourage members to book in early to avoid missing out.
