Guest Speaker: CAPT Steve Pearson


Defence Projects are often criticised by politicians and the press for poor performance in terms of cost and schedule.  Of these, the Sea Sprite Program is frequently cited as an example of the worst.  But is this fair?  Captain Steve Pearson will explore what went wrong in this project and why.  He is in a unique position to do so as, for more than four years, the project worked for him.  From its genesis in the early1990s to its eventual cancellation in 2008, this is a story which those with an interest in the modern ADF, its approaches to major project management, or its use of public money will not want to miss.
