Encounter Dinner

This long-established Club event celebrates the 220th anniversary of the historic encounter between Commander Matthew Flinders and Captaine de Vaisseau Nicolas Baudin on 8 April 1802. This year this event will be a double celebration with our guest speaker attending the recommissioning of HMAS Encounter as the Navy's Establishment in South Australia which has a direct bearing on our encounter dinner. Our guest speaker for this event will be Vice Admiral Michael Noonan AO RAN Chief of Navy whom we anticipate will be able to share with us his views of the world and in particular how he sees the development of the Navy presence is SA. Join us at the Club for a premium three-course dinner with Club beverages.
