CLUB WINE LUNCH: PIKES, CLARE VALLEY

The Pike family have been producing authentic, handcrafted beverages in South Australia since 1886. Pikes Beer was first sold in 1886, followed by soft drinks and cordials from 1940, then Pikes wine from 1985 and beer again from 1996.

Andrew and Cathy Pike were founding partners of Pikes Wines in 1984 along with Andrew’s brother Neil. After an almost 20 year career with Penfolds Wines and Southcorp Wine Group, Andrew joined Pikes at a full-time basis in 1998 to oversee viticultural operations and manage the growing family business.

It is a family tradition we proudly continue to this day. Our aim at Pikes is to produce wines with character and personality which reflect the variety, the site, the vintage conditions and the passion which we invest into our vineyards and winemaking.
