The Navy presence in South Australia has been growing steadily over recent years and the pace has picked up decidedly with the work at Osborne, preparing the site to build Australia’s new nuclear powered submarine fleet. And of course, there is the ongoing building of the new Hunter class frigates with the first keel laid in August this year.
