"Once More into the Breach... Reflections on 2025 from Ukraine" With Guest Speaker Maurice O'Connell Maurice returned from his fourth stint in Ukraine at the beginning of November. Maurice first went to Ukraine in May 2022 and has now spent a total of 24 months with Ukrainian Humanitarian NGO “New Dawn”, based in Odesa. New Dawn operates primarily in the front-line region of Kherson.

Maurice will talk about his observations and experience gleaned from his latest foray. Specifically he will address three overall topics. First, life in Odesa under Russian attack. Secondly, the situation in front-line Kherson as well as the military situation generally and thirdly, New Dawn’s humanitarian response to Russia’s ongoing attacks. Maurice will back up his presentation with photos and videos he took and which include first-hand footage of mass drone attacks on the city and the immediate aftermath of Russian strikes…
