Life Members’ Luncheon – Open Invitation

Notwithstanding the title of this event, the Life Members’ Luncheon is open to all Club Members — not just our Life Members.

This special occasion celebrates our “tribal elders” and those who have gone before us, with this year’s gathering welcoming our newest Life Members, former Senator Grant Chapman and SUPT Bruce James-Martin, APM.

Join us for a celebratory lunch and a captivating story that entwines a late Life Member with a remarkable memento — one that has quietly hung near the booths at the western end of the bar for many years. With bullion once again a hot topic in the financial press, this story explores maritime trade, fortune, and conflict at the dawn of WWI, when Australia possessed the most powerful warship in the Pacific.
